    Pakistan Floods

Pakistan is currently experiencing extremely heavy rainfall, which has caused catastrophic flash flooding across the country. Recent reports estimate that at least 419 people have died, including 77 children, while approximately 500 have been injured.

Over 34,000 homes have been destroyed

Due to many Pakistan floods, Balochistan alone has over 150,000 people in need of humanitarian assistance, and across all regions, thousands of vulnerable people have been forced to flee home. We expect the crisis to worsen as an even heavier downpour is on its way. Authorities have confirmed that 977 km of roads has been destroyed along with 61 bridges, which pose an even more severe risk to the lives of thousands of people . With no access to food, water, clean shelter, or medical aid, those who have fled to higher ground are at even greater risk.

HNCO provides life-saving aid on the ground

Due to ongoing danger, we must act quickly and meet the immediate needs of those affected. HNCO is on the ground helping the villagers with immediate emergency assistance. More than 300 people have benefitted so far from our distribution of vital food parcels. As we work on the ground, we are providing food, shelter, and blankets to affected communities and will be working closely with them to assist in the recovery process, rebuilding, and resuming daily life. Join us to help those in need. There are hundreds of people who have lost everything. Floods have long-term effects. Across entire communities, food, income, shelter, and security are more scarce than ever. Typhoid and cholera can spread more easily, and families will have to rebuild their lives from nothing. To help these communities rebuild their lives, we must stay on the ground and help them recover. Our goal is to provide ongoing and long-lasting assistance to these families so that they will be able to overcome the disaster and be safe, stable, and secure in the future. Let’s band together to help those affected by this devastating flood.
