Education for All

Providing the right environment, books, paper and pencils, and a kind, knowledgeable teacher can change the outcome for a poor child and give them the opportunity to build a better future. Not only this, but education is vital for improving communities throughout the world. Educating children leads to educated adults who can give back the knowledge to future generations.

In the UK, education is compulsory for everyone up to 16 years of age, in some parts of the world, however, schooling is optional and often parents prefer to have their children working to provide for the family or helping out at home. For those mums and dads who do want their children to get a proper education; the absence of suitable facilities, inadequate teaching or simply a lack of school supplies, means that even with the best intentions, a good education just isn’t available.

HNCO has already helped young people in Indonesia and parts of Africa, where there is a real need to improve education and give children the best start in life. School is more than just academic lessons though, going to class every day helps children to gain self-respect, improves their socialisation with peers and allows them to have the childhood they deserve before the world of work and having a family of their own.

It is the aim of HNCO to allow every child the chance to have a proper education. To support the cause, anyone wishing to donate is invited to sponsor one of three packages or if they prefer, they can contact the non profit directly to make an individual pledge.
